Nite Hunter

Nite Hunter is a bleeding-edge designer of illumination systems.

The initial focus of our company was to develop a more usable bow-mounted lighting system specifically to address the limitations of stabilizer-mounted lights. If you have used a stabilizer-based lighting system, you surely know what I mean.

The specific challenges I had was trying to hunt out of a ground-blind and/or heavy ground thatch blinds and trees (and bow-fishing). In order to leverage my same day-time deer hunting tree-stands, I had to severely compromise my location by trimming enough cover to allow the stabilizer light to illuminate the target area. If any of you bow-fish, I’m sure you’ll appreciate the benefit of the mounting location.

By experimenting with different placement locations, we discovered that by placing the light close to the site (and specifically directly above it), your ability to see through your peep significantly improved…and of course, if you have a clear shot at the target, the light will leverage the same shot window to illuminate it…so it was designed, the above site illumination system.

The next step was to match a high-quality, light weight, solution to our new mounting position that gave optimal performance and simplicity.

The entire system is made of 6061 aluminum making it extremely light and strong. (total weight of entire system ~8oz), the light circuitry is a 3-watt 160 lumen, super-bright green LED, a pressure switch and a clicker switch. We went a step further in bundling a 2400mAh lit-ion re-chargeable battery and charger…thus allowing over 7hrs continuous use on a full charge.

Once we were satisfied we had a great solution, we began experimenting on other uses for the bracket and discovered that by removing the flashlight and mounting a small video camera to the bracket, you can capture very unique video which is from the shooter perspective.

Since then, we have gone on to develop other high-quality, all-inclusive, competitively priced illumination systems for law enforcement use and rifle varmint and predator hunting.
