Kershaw Blur Knife - Olive Drab #1670OLBLK

The Blur Knife from Kershaw is an excellent flip open knife for use around the campfire or even on the job. Its blade is Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel with a strong Tungsten DLC coating. Get a grip on one of our toughest, most versatile knives—now in a olive drab finish. The Blur’s slightly recurved blade is ideal for slicing, slashing, or pulling cuts. This multi-task-ready blade is paired with a lightweight anodized aluminum handle and Trac-Tec inserts for a secure grip, even in slippery conditions. This is a knife that will stay sharp much longer than other types and after a lot of abuse.

In addition the Blur features the patented SpeedSafe assisted-opening system. An extra aid to ensure your safety while carrying and using the pocket knife. All you need is to press the thumb stud and the spring loaded blade will pop up for easy opening. To further ensure your safety while using the knife, a Locking Liner holds the knife firmly in place when fully opened.

Locking Liner

Locks the blade into position after the blade is deployed. To release the locking liner simply press the spring loaded lock and the blade will easily fold back into the handle.

SpeedSafe® is the patented, assisted opening mechanism pioneered by Kershaw that makes it fast and easy to open a knife one-handed. SpeedSafe also makes it possible for Kershaw to ensure that even a large blade can move out of the handle just as smoothly and easily as a smaller one. Plus, many of their assisted folders are ambidextrous—and open with a flipper or a thumbstud on both sides of the blade—so they’re just as easy to use left-handed or right. To open a SpeedSafe knife, the user must apply manual pressure to overcome the resistance of the torsion bar. This means that SpeedSafe knives do not meet the definition of a switchblade; they do not deploy with the push of a button or by gravity alone. Once open, the blade locks safely into position until the user releases it.
